Man charged following bookmaker robberies

A man has been charged in connection with a series of robberies at bookmakers in Hertford.
Graham Radcliffe, aged 37, of Hertford, was arrested on Monday 3rd February and has been charged with:
- Robbery and possession of imitation firearm whilst committing a schedule 1 offence, in connection with an incident at William Hill in Maidenhead Street, Hertford, on Saturday 25th January.
- Robbery and possession of imitation firearm whilst committing a schedule 1 offence, in connection with an incident at Ladbrokes in Maidenhead Street, Hertford, on Monday 27th January.
- Robbery and possession of imitation firearm whilst committing a schedule 1 offence, in connection with an incident at Ladbrokes in Maidenhead Street, Hertford, on Friday 31st January.
- Attempted robbery and possession of imitation firearm whilst committing a schedule 1 offence, in connection with an incident at William Hill in High Street, Ware on Monday 3rd February.
He has been remanded into custody and was due to appear before Hatfield Remand Court on 5th February.
Detective Constable Edward Law, who is leading the investigation, said: "This has been a fast-moving investigation, exploring several lines of enquiry. Charges have now been secured and the case is progressing through the courts."
