Bluecoats Roundabout resurfacing starts

Bluecoats Roundabout in the town centre will be closed over the next three nights from 8pm to 5am to allow contractors to refurface the busy junction.

Work started this evening (Tuesday 26th May) and will continue until Thursday Morning (28th May).

Through traffic is being diverted via Welwyn Garden City, the A1 to Stevenage and then the A602 and A10 - a total of 34 miles taking just over 50 minutes.

The works are part of a wider resurfacing project which will see parts of the A414 from Bluecoats to Rush Green closed for resurfacing over the next three weeks.

Delays are predicted on both carriageways from 9:30am to 4pm between 1st and 17th June.
