The one day festival sees up to thirty venues in and around the town hosting live music from midday to midnight, with hundreds of musicians playing in pubs and public buildings.

The official launch took place at the Rivertown Beer and Music Festival at Hertford Brewery last Saturday. Rivertown is the headline sponsor for the Mystery Tour this year.

Festival co-chairman Rob Guinn, said: "We're extremely grateful for River Town Brewing's support - they've been there for us in the extremely lean lockdown years and now again they're right behind us as we get our music muscles working again. We simply couldn't pull this off every year with the support of our sponsors and, in addition to River Town and our stalwart sponsors and supporters Steve Beeston Photography, Brass Tacks Web Design, Couvre Feu Fire Consulting, HD Print and Hertford Town Council we'd like to welcome on board The Hertford Club, Cinnabar, The Corn Exchange, JD Audio and Apollo Audio"

Tom McMullen said: "As we seemingly bounce from crisis to crisis we need events like the Mystery Music Tour to remind us that there are things in life that make us happy. Rivertown Brewery is delighted to support a local team that works tirelessly to put smiles on people's faces."

Over 90 acts have applied to play at this year's festival, with 10 venues already confirmed and many more expected to join in the coming weeks.
