New surgery opens in town centre

Lea Wharf Medical in Bircherley Green is now open following the relocation of Wallace House Surgery last Monday 19th February.

The new surgery provides more space, additional consulting rooms, higher patient capacity and a wider range of health services.

On Friday 23rd February members of the Patient Participation Group and Julie Marson MP were given a tour of the new facilities.

The premises are part of the new Lea Wharf development at Bircherley Green, built by Chase New Homes, and featuring 98 flats for purchase and rent, along with commercial floorspace, a gym and 140 public car parking spaces.

An enlarged branch of Boots is exoected to open in the Spring, with more etailers and restaurants expected to be announced soon.
