This website is designed to comply with the following national and international legislation with regards to data protection and user privacy:

  • UK Data Protection Act 2018
  • EU General DataProtection Regulation 2018 (GDPR)

This site’s compliance with the above legislation, all of which are stringent in nature, means that this site is likely compliant with the data protection and user privacy legislation set out by many other countries and territories as well. If you are unsure about whether this site is compliant with your own country of residences’ specific data protection and user privacy legislation you should contact our data protection officer (details of whom can be found further down) for clarification.

Personal Information That This Website Collects and Why We Collect It

    Site visitation tracking

We use Matomo on this website to analyze the usage behavior of our visitors. Matomo collects data on things like the referrer website a particular user accessed before visiting our website, the subpages of the website the user visits, the amount of time the user spends on a web page, or how often the user visits the page.

The IP address you use to access our website is anonymized. Matomo is configured to mask two bytes of the IP address (e.g.: 192.168.xxx.xxx). This makes it impossible to associate the IP address with the device used to access the site.

Matomo is configured to not send any cookies for the analysis of website usage.

The usage information collected by Matomo is stored exclusively on our web hosting company's UK-based servers (see details below). The stored usage data are not passed on to third parties. They are not combined with data collected from other pages requiring a disclosure of personal data.

The analysis of the usage behavior of our visitors helps us to optimize our website and make it more user-friendly. This constitutes our legitimate interest in processing data in accordance with § 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

By anonymizing the IP address, we take into sufficient account the interest of the users in protecting their personal data.

    Contact Forms

Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our Contact us page, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to/be processed by any third party data processor. Instead the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

Any contact details you provide will be used solely for the purpose of communicating with you in connection with your enquiry or any further business that you choose to engage in with us.

We will never sell, rent or otherwise distribute or make public any personal information collected via this website.

    Browser Cookies & Consent

    What are Cookies

Cookies are very small text files placed on your computer by a web server when you view some sites online (not all web sites place cookies). They're used to store data about you and your preferences so that a web server doesn't have to repeatedly request this information, potentially slowing down load time.

Cookies are commonly used to store personal registration data like your name, your address, the contents of a shopping cart, your preferred layout for a web page, what map you might be looking at, and so on.

Cookies make it easy for web servers to personalize information to fit your specific needs and preferences when you're visiting a web site.
