Classic cars in first Castle event

Over fifty classic cars were in display at Hertford Town Council's first event of the year in the Castle grounds.

Seven cars received special awards, presented by the deputy Major of Hertford Cllr. Jane Sartin.

Awards included Best Foreign Car, Best Interior, Best Paintwork, Best Post 1970 car, Best Pre 1970 car and The Mayor's Choice.

The annual show is typically the first in the council's calendar of events, which include Rock at The Castle, the Hertford Beer & World Food Festival and Open Air Cinema.

A wide range of modern and classic cars were on display, including sports cars, American cars and caravanettes.
